So, to soothe myself, i bought a ticket for "Apocalypto" at AMC, PP (14:20 show) & have a good lunch at "Lobster Bar & Grill" in the Shang.
Once i arrived there, the "blue-white-brown atmosphere" calmed me down...
I took a look at the wine list, OHHHHHH~~~~~!!!!!
Well, for the red wine...
they have a very wide selection!!
from Chile Casa La Joya (HK$168/bottle or HK$40/glass) to
some Argentinian red wine (HK$300/ bottle);
Shiraz from Australia (Dead Arm D'Arenburg) for HK$1,500- per bottle; &
Chateau Lynch-Bages Seme Cru Classe 1995 for HK$2,900- per bottle
and LOADS MORE***
Now, CHAMPAGNE~~!!
Perrier Jovel, Beve Epoque 1998 for HK$3,200- per bottle &
Henri Giraud, Grand Cru, Fut de Chere 1998 for HK$4,100- per bottle
And as it's Saturday, i ordered set lunch... & here's the menu:
2 courses - HK$260-
3 courses - HK$290-
4 courses - HK$320- (2 appetizers + 1 main course & dessert)
Appetizers:
Antipasto platter/ Warm vegetable terrine with cherry tomatoes & balsamic vinaigrette/ French onion soup
Main course:
Seared trout fillet with crushed potatoes, in lemon herb sauce/ Pan-fied port chop mrinated with soya sauce & sauteed jade sprouts/ Roast of the day (Veal)
Dessert:
Vanilla creme brulee/ Fruit salad with mango ice-cream/ Homemade ice-cream or shobert/ Selection of daily cakes
PLUS:
Coffee/ Tea & Chocolate (they call it petite fours here)
I had the Onion soup with veal & creme brulee.
Onion soup is not bad, veal is so-so... same as creme brulee
But the staff here is nice & the service is prompt!! :-D
I paid the bill & went for my cinema show...
& now, after seeing my dying father in QE Hospital, am now back on Lamma... STARVING~~~!!!
will be home soon... another home-alone-night, gazing at the bright FULL MOON with my BEST FRIEND - RED WINE ;-)
