準備回家見有點餓,行去朗屏站時發展呢間仲開,於是點了一份魚蛋腸粉作宵夜。魚蛋富有彈性,好彈牙,味又濃。腸粉略嫌唔夠滑,但都係混醬黎食既者!其實原來呢間係甜品店來的,不過食完呢碟已勁飽,下次來試下炒冰!

It seems whenever boyfriend and I go to Yuen Long, we always head here for a dessert.  But this time we came in the summer instead of in the winter like we usually do. We brought a couple of friends with us as they had never beem here.Located in Yuen Long, it's a super small place with a few tables. They basically serve fruit based Chinese desserts.Mango Rolls. Mango Ice Block. This is what this place is famous for. It was even mentioned on tv and magazines. What they do it they have this cold wok and they keep stirring it around until a block of ice is made. Gloriously wonderful after a day in the hot sun.

Banana Ice Block. Apparently they had a new flavor this time other than mango. I didn't like it very much but everyone else seemed to like it. It tasted like a frozen banana. Wasn't as refreshing as the mango.

今日工作太勤奮關係,下午先收到工,又唔想食飯,就去試下元朗出名的炒冰同芒果卷,叫了個榴槤炒冰,好特別,有4大片薯片,但又幾夾,起初以為普通沙冰來,但食落口,綿綿的,不叫太凍,好濃榴槤味,配合西瓜薯片都唔錯,唔夠飽,再追加個芒果卷,面皮好滑,夠甜,粒粒芒果,啖啖肉,好滿足, 總結雖然鋪頭細,但多甜品選擇,一定有種適合自己 ,又健康又冇咁素

在元朗區也居住十多年了 這間炒冰是很出名的。我也當然不執輸, 記得逛花市和將軍到這吃甜品。 這家的芒果產品很出名, 幾乎所有產品也與芒果有關。芒果炒冰我點了芒果炒冰及芒果腸粉。 兩個甜品也很好吃芒果炒冰雖然凍凍的,但是芒果很重芒果味 並沒有色素味。 天然的芒果味的餘韻在口中有香甜清新的感覺。 每一啖也有芒果的味道真的很好吃, 香港大大小小的炒雪糕也不及這家的炒冰, 這家應該說香港首創的炒冰。芒果腸粉芒果腸粉的腸粉是用蒟蒻粉做的, 芒果腸粉的芒果汁很好吃很重芒果的果甜及香氣。 芒果切得大粒又有咬口不會酸酸的,當做的芒果總是好吃。 這家所有的甜品也不貴, 若要試炒冰一定要來元朗這間。評分:8/10

芒果腸粉的腸粉是用蒟蒻粉做的, 芒果腸粉的芒果汁很好吃很重芒果的果甜及香氣。 芒果切得大粒又有咬口不會酸酸的,當做的芒果總是好吃。
 這家所有的甜品也不貴, 若要試炒冰一定要來元朗這間。

甜心鮮果園的炒冰就聽得多,佢嘅芒果腸粉味道都不錯,腸粉皮有淡淡的椰汁味,入口滑溜,而入面的芒果大大粒,香甜可口。。另外也嘗了榴槤炒冰,入口有陣陣榴槤香,並不太濃郁。旁邊放了四塊薯片,味道完全不夾,吃了塊就沒有再吃了。還是放鮮果作裝飾較合適

After dinner, boyfriend and I came for dessert. Originally we didn't want the famous mango block of ice as we ordered this every time we came here. We wondered if their other desserts were good. So we ordered a tapioca dessert soup with fruit and mango roll.Tapioca with fruit was a pretty big portion. Though the sweet soup wasn't sweet enough and the coconut milk was a bit watered down. After sitting around, boyfriend said we should get a block of ice as it's super hot and the other times we came was in the winter. And yes, mango is in season. We added a block of mango ice.

Best dessert of the night. Refreshing. Sweet mango flavor. What they are famous for is what we sho stick with. All their other desserts were nothing special. But this block of ice is perfect on a hot summer day.

They had mango and strawberry that day so we chose mango.Why is it called stir fried ice? This place was mentioned on tv and magazines. Why is it called stir fried ice? This place was mentioned on tv and magazines. Apparently, the owner puts a block of flavored ice and continuously folds away in a giant ice cold wok. Yes, it may look like a block of butter, but this is great on a summer day or just to quench your thirst. The texture was soft like sorbet. Not too sweet. They added small balls of watermelon which was so sweet, it almost took away all flavor of the mango.

For about 4 days I volunteered as a tour guide for some good friends visiting Hong Kong. Did some extensive research and decide that a half day trip to Yuen Long would do the trick! After a few hours of shopping for random things, clothes, and soaking in the scenery, we started building up a sweat and walking back and forth.

Fortunately armed with a printout of maps, we finally made it to Sweet Heart 甜心鮮果園. This was touted by the Yuen Long website as one of the must try eats, and more specifically here, desserts.

It did not take very long to decide what we wanted. This being winter season, there were no durian desserts available (and thankfully too....I am not a fan of this super stinky fruit, but I will gladly eat stinky tofu and fermented shrimp paste anyday). So with the famous stir fried fruit ice "炒冰", we were left with the available flavors of mango, banana, and I believe the third one was cantaloupe. The concept of 炒冰 was very interesting...although we all agreed that it was more like sorbet in texture, although this was more along the lines of a thick processed nectar (fruit and pulp) prepared on a cold stone with a liquid nitrogen cooled like surface....I think that is what Cold Stone Creamery does with their ice cream desserts (it is a famous chain in California).

The sorbets were not terribly interesting, but refreshing nonetheless. Out of the trio we tried, the mango was obviously the best one.

The dessert that stole the show, was highly recommended by the employee, and was the mango roll. Fresh mango chunks, wrapped in a "cheung fun" like skin made with coconut milk, with a drizzle of mango sauce on top. Holy cow....this was damn good. Really unusual combination that worked very well. Despite the simplicity of the ingredients, pretty sure getting the coconut milk skin wrapped around the mango was not an easy task. The texture was very similar to that of a cheung fun skin, but rest assured it was pure coconut milk bliss.

This was sometime nearing 3 pm, not too long after they open for the day, so we were the only customers.

Super friendly staff and great service for a neighborhood eatery. I can only hope they continue to thrive and stay in business for many years.

腸粉外皮椰子味重,芒果很甜很JUICY,但椰子關係,完全無興趣再食下去(個人口味問題)
