Went in for dinner as I was looking for something to eat around Tai Hang. Really liked this cozy restaurant with classic Japanese decor/exteriors. The staff were very friendly and attentive. All the skewers were cooked well, the meats were tender and juicy. Had most of the skewers but over time became quite full so did not have space to try the other hot dishes. Next time I will ! Overall was a good experience. …查看更多
A very cozy Yakitori place in Tai Hang with the worst service you can ever imagine. No drinks are served, just scalding hot water when it’s 37C outside. There is no tap water available, any lukewarm or cold plain water is charged. No tea is served either. Basically, there is no choice but to order cold water. Food is impeccable. I feel sorry for the owner of this restaurant who’s put so much effort in creating such an extensive delicious menu because all his staff are just forcing customers not to return. Everyone of them has an attitude. None of them are helpful. We had a party of 8 and it’s $1000+ per head but they charge $500 corkage even if we wanted to order a bottle from them. There is no flexibility whatsoever. Price of a high end restaurant but service worse than the ones from a street stall. Restaurant closes at 10pm and by 8:30pm, they told us it was their last order. To make things even worse, they closed their air con on a hot summer day at 9:30pm just to make sure you suffer enough eating hot Yakitori and being suffocated in a room. It’s really not even about service nor attitude; I’d rather think it was quite inhumane doing so. Japanese are well known for their manners and hospitality and this restaurant has demonstrated the exact opposite of that. I hope their owner isn’t Japanese; I would be so shameful for such an experience. Restaurants are struggling so hard to stay in business in Hong Kong and there are so many choices out there to pick, I would definitely not come back to this one.…查看更多
We live in the neighborhood and thought we’d give this place a chance. Well, clearly that was a mistake. Not sure how long this restaurant will survive here.Food:The ramen is… the worst I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It’s so underwhelming that I made instant noodle when I got home and fill way more satisfied. The soup base is bland, the noodle is not chewy. The small dishes are not fresh, very small portion, and yet not very tasty.ServiceKish at best, you have to call the waiter to be attended. We were not even served water the whole time.Price:I won’t say it’s pricey, but definitely not worth it give to the quality.…查看更多
The dishes are small and a bit overpriced. The appetizers are tiny — half an avocado with two pieces of crab meat costs $68, and the taste is overshadowed by heavy cream/Mayo. The noodles were advertised outside so we ordered. The soup base is a bit bland, need more salt, and the noodles are too thick. …
