Rarely do I dine in Chinese cuisines with the poor choices I’ve got in my neighbourhood, today I decided to travel for a bit for trying a new popular one.What I mean by popular, is that you have to queue for half an hour even when it’s non peak hour. There are a variety of dim sum and traditional Chaozhou food for selection, thus I couldn’t help but ordered quite a lot. I like how they’re fairly priced, unlike those in TKO which are all overpriced with their so-so tastes.
A big shoutout to their pork ribs, I’d say this is a must-try dish. The ribs were well-seasoned, and I absolutely adored it’s texture — a crispy and sweet exterior with tender meat inside. A fancy dish perfect for a combo with rice!

Next up is their almond soup with pig lung. It’s a dish that I’ve always longed to try. Well perhaps my expectations outweighed the reality. The soup did have almond taste, but it wasn’t that concentrated nor rich enough to allure me for more sips. The amount of pig lung pieces was also quite small, merely 2-3 small little pieces with some veggies. You can try this dish if you haven’t but I’d encourage not to have too high expectations for it.

Then it comes to their nice dim sums.
Good shrimp dumplings. You could taste the freshness of the shrimp and the dumpling wasn’t too thick nor stiff.

The rice noodle rolls were fair. No particular highlights.

Steamed egg yolk custard buns are always my fav, and I also enjoyed theirs. It was a pity that I had mine after it turned cold so the bun wasn’t that soft anymore. So do remember to have it right when they served it !

Their Ginger and Jujube Cake was also fantastic. It wasn’t that sweet in taste, giving a more healthier bite and you won’t feel that fed up. There was also an aroma of red dates in your mouth while you are enjoying the chewiness of layers of the cake. Another decent dim sum to opt for.

I also had their siu mai, but sadly had I forgot to take a pic for it. It was again, very nice for the taste when compared to other Chinese restaurants.
Overall I would rate it a fabulous experience. The service was pretty good, staff weren’t rude (usually I’d find staff in Chinese restaurants rude) but quite responsive when the scene was quite busy. Would definitely return for their outstanding pork ribs and dim sum!
