Eating with your Bare Feet - a Japanese Sensation
2000-04-14
Kamo Garlic Factory had been serving high-class Japanese cuisines for four years. About 70% of the customers are Japanese. The owner of the restaurant is also a Japanese and his style of cooking is originated from the cookery world of Japan where he was nurtured and polished.\r\n。\r\n

\r\nThe manager of the restaurant, Mr. Cheung emphasized that they haven't raised their price of food since they opened 4 years ago. This is because the customers are either tourists or frequent visitors. Normally, frequent visitors will spend a shocking amount of over $10,000 for a meal! The restaurant has a traditional Japanese atmosphere.
All the customers need to take off their shoes before entering. There is a big space under the tables where people can stretch and relax their legs. All the food are fresh because they are directly imported from Japan. Even an eel is personally chopped and cooked by the main chef. There is no doubt about the quality!\r\n

\r\n

\r\nOther than the basic menu, there is also a seasonal menu for seasonal food. There will be a change of dish for every season, ranging from 2 times a year to 4 times a year at the most. You will not be bored from eating the same old food. For this winter, the new dishes are 'Seafood Noodle with Fried Squid' ($60), 'Tempura with Silver Dinko' ($48), 'Polished Glutinous Rice with Silver Dinko and Eel' ($78) and so on.

\r\n'Seafood Noodle with Fried Squid' is made with black squid noodles and stir-fried with a mixture of seafood. Adding Japanese seaweed to the dish will give it a flavour of Japanese tradition.\r\n

\r\n'Tempura with Silver Dinko' is actually deep fried dinko: the dinko are pitted and then deep-fried. It will be even more scrumptious if you dip the dinko into the Tempura sauce made by the Japanese chef and enjoy it with wine.
There are also some very interesting Sino-Japanese dim-sum. One example would be the 'Polished Glutinous Rice with Silver Dinko and Eel' other mouth-watering ingredients include shredded crab meat and dried mushroom.\r\n

\r\nOther Sino-Japanese delicacies that the restaurant is serving include 'Pork Sausage Hot-Pot' and 'Japanese Shrimp Dumpling with Yellow Mustard'. They are a great combination of Chinese and Japanese cooking which will satisfy the taste of all customers.
