Came back to Tosca for their weekend lunch. Service was perfect as usual.Today I did not want to have alcohol so we chose the non-alcoholic pairing.First came the sparkling tea with the amuse bouche. The milk foam together with the chili base is as delicious as usual.The scallops were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Today I did not want to have alcohol so we chose the non-alcoholic pairing.
I had pretty much tried most of the mains here so I decided to try the one main I have not tried, which is the Turbot Fillet, which requires quite a hefty supplement price. This was paired with the pomegranate juice.
However, I definitely loved the saffron tart much more, which definitely is worthy of the supplement. The balance of the vanilla sauce and red wine sauce at the base with the sweet and tarty flavors in the tart from the aloe vera and rhubarb and barolo (red wine) ice-cream on top to be divine. The mixtures of these different textures in the dessert made each bite quite fun to have.
题外话/补充资料:
Despite most dishes I would have rated 5 stars, the miss on the flavors of the turbot fillet was just too difficult to ignore so I still had to rate the overall taste as 4 stars this time.
