Went to Cafe Malacca for the first time. It was a Saturday night. Restaurant was packed, with a mix of locals and tourists. Would definitely book ahead. We found the service efficient and good. Decor is functional. Ordered a mix of classics. Satay was our favourite - fresh from the grill, great balance of favours. Beef rendang was a bit fatty but the sauce was spot on with some spiciness. Stir fried kale was very well executed. Char Kway Teow was just average, a bit bland, nothing spectacular. W
