Saw a packed house at Alfafa inside a shopping mall with no air conditioning in the morning, guess this restaurant had a/c so people chilled in there. So I said hey why not, restaurant is packed, several customers waiting for tables, let's give this place a try! BIG MISTAKE. The waiters are dedicated and I was arranged a table via their sign up sheet and tickets. Everything was fine until I was waiting for my food to arrive. I ordered a Egg Benedict breakfast with iced coffee. I used to eat Egg Benedict quite frequently at a British style restaurant in Taikoo Shing so I had high expectations. So when my food arrived I ate it quite quickly as I was starving. The egg looked nasty nothing compared to the photo on the menu, it was deformed, worst of all it was COLD, not lukewarm, not room temperature, it was COLD. The spinach was stiff, and the bread underneath was stale. Since I was hungry I quickly chowed down both pieces, took two zips and was on my way.
Eating at Café de Coral would have been a better choice. However, since I like to take adventures, next time I shall try M18 upon the recommendation of my cousin, which is located right outside the shopping mall.
