Feel like eating some dishes from cha chan teng, I walked past this cafe and decided to pack home for dinner tonight. Like any cha chan teng, their menu was comprehensive, offering a wide range of Cantonese dishes, rice, noodles, side dishes and drinks etc.
Iced coffee and milk tea were smooth and milky, fragrant in taste.
Fried rice with beef in Sichuan spicy sauce - It was fried till chewy and fragrant, with the rice not too sticky. It was spicy, with strong mala taste. Sliced beef was tender and juicy as well.
Fukien fried rice with abalone rice - It was of damp and sticky texture, and was chewy. The chef was generous with the portion of ingredients, with plenty of octopus, prawn, mushroom and BBQ pork in it etc. Abalone sauce helped to make it flavourful.
Fried scrambled egg with BBQ pork and scallion - The serving was huge, with generous serving of scrambled egg in it. Scrambled egg was fried till soft and smooth while BBQ pork was sweet and chewy. It came with white rice and soup. Soup was clear and sweet, with winter melon, pork and carrot in it.
