Usual Cantonese dim sum fare except that for their morning tea time, the prices are lower than other dim sum places due to the rent in Ma On Shan being lower than, say, Causway Bay or Tsim Sha Tsui, etc. Their best dish is the Steamed Rice Roll with Crispy Fried Bread Stick and Shrimp Inside. I don't know how they made it because if you steam the rice roll, then the inside fried bread stick should be soggy, not crispy. Be sure to request that the waiter bring you out a hot, newly made dish because one time, they brought out a cold dish to me. I immediately ordered another one, but asked the waitress to make sure that it's hot and the hot dish was very tasty but the cold one was not. They also have special deals for dinner that vary from month to month. For example, in April of 2013, they had a Duck Special that was very inexpensive. So, be sure to ask the waitress if they have any specials. Their waiters and waitresses don't necessarily know English, so be sure to bring along a Cantonese speaking friend. If you're going by yourself, then order dishes41 through 48 on their menu. That's all their steamed rice roll dishes. Number 42 is beef but I don't know what the others are. All I know is that all their steamed rice roll dim sum dishes are the bomb (Cheong Fun).
