I ordered a roast duck for my Christmas dinner one day in advance and was looking forward to having it with all my friends. Unfortunately, when I got home I realized that they gave me a chicken... I don't understand how the lady got it wrong after looking at the receipt many times. Also, I thought there'd be a duck reserved for me since I ordered so early but when I arrived they still hadn't prepared it. I ended up having no duck at the dinner, and was massively disappointed. I have always struggled to find a good location in Hong Kong for roast chicken (to be fair I have not had a lot!) but I was so glad I found this rotisserie. I tried the chicken pot and on a different occasion returned for a chicken set meal and both were delicious. The interior isn't exactly the most spacious, so takeaway is probably the best option. The staff is very friendly and helpful though, which is always a plus!The chicken pot had a really great portion especially if you have a good appetite. They give you almost half a chicken! The sauce was creamy and rich while the chicken is tender and juicy. The skin is always the best part but it wasn't too greasy either. There was slightly too much rice for my liking but it would perfect if you're on a particularly hungry day. There were also steamed vegetables mixed in but they did not take away the flavour. The chicken set I got came with either thigh or breast meat and three hot side dishes, which is quite a steal for the price. You can also choose salad but I was hoping to try a variety to the other dishes they offer. The dark meat was very soft, it could be juicier but it was definitely tender and not tough to chew at all. I got mashed potatoes, a vegetable mix in tomato sauce as well as a bean/lentil mix. They were very generous with portions and the meal was very filling. The chicken is so yummy, delicious and tasty. It has lots of flavours and you can feel that they prepare the chicken very well before they actually cook it. It is quite oily, but I guess that's part of the reason it tastes so good. I had no problem finishing the whole piece of chicken I had. Was browsing OpenRice and saw a special buy one get one free offer for takeaway so I ordered a 1/4 chicken, meaning I would get a half chicken. This chain of rotisserie sells the best roasted chicken in town. It’s so much better than your (fancy) supermarket grilled ones! It’s skin is covered with herbs and roasted perfectly. Best to eat with its skin (not excessively fatty) to get the intense flavour. You get to choose breast/leg. I got the leg and it is oh-so-tender. The lunch set is a bargain as you get to choose between a drink or soup and with sides of salad/veggie/carbs.
