干扁馬蘭頭即豆干馬蘭頭,咸度剛剛好,麻油香不霸道,爽口開胃,增加了阿央的食慾,青綠色的馬蘭頭感覺愉悅點。

外表與小籠包差不多,只是看得出內裡的翠綠

第一篇食評,因為突然發現,紀錄我去过的餐廳、和誰一起用饍、食物的味道、環境,也是一种日记的形式也许因為自己太喜欢到處吃了,有时候食物的味道並不是重点,相反吃的心情才是是晚仍然是和梁b的二人行,我覺得我开始喜欢这样就算只是一餐簡单的晚餐,很平凡,但平凡中卻有感覺吃上海菜,因為戒口中,很多食物不能吃想去尖沙咀行街,想吃上海菜,鼎泰豐的好評如此多,順理成章便來了这裏差唔多三成係外國人兩个人,点了涼瓜、排骨蛋炒飯、菜肉紅油抄手、小籠包、涼粉皮,有点多,想吃的醉雞反而沒有点,反正最近雞吃得太多了><味道只是一般,可能expectation太高,眾多食物之中我覺得涼粉皮是最好味的服務不錯,环境一般

涼瓜、排骨蛋炒飯、菜肉紅油抄手、小籠包、涼粉皮,有点多,想吃的醉雞反而沒有点,反正最近雞吃得太多了><
味道只是一般,可能expectation太高,眾多食物之中我覺得涼粉皮是最好味的

表妹由加拿大回港,想食上海同台灣食品,諗極都唔知去邊度食好,想起好耐之前去過台灣試過當地嘅鼎泰豐,味道大致上中規中距,又知尖沙咀有分店,所以同表妹一家去試吓。今日一行八人叫了冷盤、點心同麵飯,整體味道ok,略嫌份量太少,價錢偏貴,多番少少會合理些。小籠包湯,皮薄,但餡料調味偏鹹,跟包上嘅清湯味道一般。糯肉燒賣,糯米煮得太腍,口感同味道嘛嘛。絲瓜蝦仁小籠包,這個幾鍾意,餡料味清,好鮮味。香菇素餃,外皮厚同硬咗少少,可能係素嘅關係,驚太寡,所以落重調味,味道偏鹹。上海燻魚,唔會炸得太乾,肉質外脆內嫩,味道甜甜哋,幾好味。紹興醉雞,酒味剛好,有酒香但味唔苦,雞肉尚算嫩滑。蒜香粉皮肉,蒜香味濃,醬汁可解豬肉嘅肥膩。水晶肉味道差,賣相雖靚,但食落一陣雪味,好難食。滷水牛片,質感同味道剛好,唔會鞋口同過鹹。香干馬蘭頭,食落有草青味,感覺幾清新。麻醬撈麵,麵質煙韌,麻香味濃,鹹度減少少會更佳。乾拌蝦肉餛飩,看似味濃,其實味道剛好,可惜皮太厚太韌,口感欠佳。排骨蛋妙飯,排骨炸得鬆化,但蛋炒飯油咗少少。

一心諗住星期一應該無咁多人.點知...........去到大約7:30分左右..但等到8:30分先有位,仲要限時1個半鐘真係好誇張入到去店員同我地講話..1個半鐘會唔會唔夠,因為上菜速度很快點知點了菜唔夠5分鐘就送到,果然有效率一黎到當然立即點小籠包..有分蟹粉內原味..我地每款點了一籠呢碟拍青瓜連平時好食得辣既細佬都頂唔順有醉雞,酸菜肉絲,拍青瓜..份量不算多見係推介便點了一籠..大家都讚好味,但除左多左粒蝦之外,同小籠包無咩分別好正,一咬D汁就漏哂出黎...其中一讚既係..有一粒係送黎前穿左..店員送上食物時同我地講有一粒穿左,等陣會送上一粒無穿既我地心諗...好少有餐廳製作咁認真,所以一定要一讚其中排骨蛋炒飯..家姐讚不絕口不過好似油左DD份量不多...但幾個分享就不會太飽

We didn't mind sharing a big table with 3 other couples, so we were happy customers, good customer service.

The food was as delicious as I could remember it, although simply made, but I really like their egg friend rice. It is so fluffy and has a gorgeous fried egg smell to it. Not sure about the prawns on its own though, it was a bit too bland. Sorry guys, I didn't write down the name of the dishes!

If they would like to improve on 1 thing, I would suggest to endeavor and get the "side" dishes out first and then make sure the rice/noodles are out roughly the same time as the main dishes. It would enhance the dining experience so much more, as food gets cold so quickly with the AC and having the veggies first, then the siao long bao and then the prawns with no rice to go with these dishes was a bit wierd.

But I can't complain, because the taste of the food is truly amazing. It got my taste buds going so much that I had brought my other friend to their Causeway Bay branch the next day for lunch!! ;P

You won't be disappointed.

lunch 時間跟同事去新港鼎泰豐食晏, 好耐之前已經想試, 不過佢成日好多人, 諗住佢同黃埔 xx食坊係一樣就不試也罷, 後來同事解釋, 知道原來哩間先係原自台灣既鼎泰豐, 所以點都要試下,等左20分鐘左右有位, 好在係佢d員工效率高, 不停都keep住call台, 在場有好多日本客 / 外國人一齊等, 店方都安排4-5個員工照顧下d未必聽得到叫飛既人士, 頗細心....今日我地叫左下面既野食, 3個人食到捧住個肚值得一提係佢地員工動作快, 見野就做, 而且有禮貌, 可見佢地既管理模式都有一定質素.

一大班朋友黎食!!只係等位都皮哂...實在太多人喇等!!其實食落同其他上海餐館差吾多!!不過呢間的環境同服務都比較好!!但唯讀是蛋炒飯必推!!!好味,乾身!!一D都吾油!!!肴肉都OK!!!其他就冇咩特別!!吾駛等位的話都會再黎!!!

放工跟朋友先去買部手機, 好彩放五點, 買完行到過黎都係六點一者, 唔駛等位. 第一次在香港幫襯鼎泰豐(早前紅磡那間應該不算正宗的店吧!!!) , 一入門口接待及侍應們的熱情打招呼方式, 真的令我懷念在台灣食飯, 各個店家的熱情招待, 今時今日的服務態度, 咪就係應該要咁啦!!!! 今晚order的食物, 全程我發板, 朋友K沒有意見. 我就自把自為咁叫左: 小籠包, 酸辣湯, 排骨, 擔擔麵 (為何沒有排骨擔擔麵???), 干煸四季豆, 最後好似還差一點, 二輪再點了醉雞. 全部都係我的至愛. 四季豆: 是一款的涼菜, 很香, 不會很油的感覺, 加上少少的肉碎, 真係好好味. 同埋真係乾身的, 唔會是半煸的四季豆!!小籠包: 入到黎真係無可能唔叫的小籠包, 真係給我很台灣的感覺, 薄薄的皮, 滿滿的肉汁, 加一點點的醋, 真是一個討人喜歚的小籠包. 這兒的小籠包我真係唸唔到有任何缺定, 是十分完美酸辣湯: 跟我在觀塘小店食的很不同, 這一個每款材料都切得很細緻, 所以入口是滑滑的. 不過個人鐘意小店那個多一點, 因為材料更為豐富, hehe, 但這個真的不賴啊!!!!排

四季豆: 是一款的涼菜, 很香, 不會很油的感覺, 加上少少的肉碎, 真係好好味. 同埋真係乾身的, 唔會是半煸的四季豆!!

酸辣湯: 跟我在觀塘小店食的很不同, 這一個每款材料都切得很細緻, 所以入口是滑滑的. 不過個人鐘意小店那個多一點, 因為材料更為豐富

排骨及擔擔麵: 排骨炸得很香口, 不會油冧冧, 但又不算話是很驚喜. 擔擔麵是很一般的擔擔麵, 好味, 但不特別. 同埋原來朋友K是對麻醬類沒有興趣, 這樣跟我完全相反.

醉雞: 雖然是貴, 但又真係幾值得叫, 因為真係好好味, 雞肉滑, 已起骨(除左個醉轉彎位是有骨的), 加埋酒, 酒味很香, 但不會多到令到肉有苦苦的味道, 話咁快就比我地兩個人KO左啦.
食完只有一個感覺, 就係我好想去台灣!!!!!!! 或者快d約其他飯腳再黎食過, 解一下思"台灣"之苦.

等位比想像中快,拎飛時要等30個,不過原來等15分鐘左右就有位。兩個人,叫左以下食物:小籠包:皮薄,入面既湯好鮮甜,睇得出手工一流,唔會一夾就漏晒D湯汁出黎蝦肉紅油抄手:用料幾豐富,不過汁比較辣擔擔麵:好濃既花生醬,食落有少少似撈麵,D麵又唔會太幼,好好味酸辣湯:酸辣度適中,一碗份量夠一人食值得一提係呢度既服務,侍應會主動幫你跟單,而且好有禮貌

點了此店有名的包點,但不如想像般出色,可能是期望過高的緣故。但整體來說,食品製作的相對精緻的(亦比較細碟)。而環境、服務水準亦很高。小籠包感覺中規中距,食落肉不算非常新鮮,而肉汁也不夠香。菜肉包來的時候蒸氣騰騰,但內面不夠熱。台式麻醬撈麵味道不錯,麻醬香濃。而稠度不高,故不會太膩。店員建議應趁熱食。排骨蛋炒飯排骨大到覆蓋炒飯,肉質嫩口,外面炸得香脆。炒飯也好,粒粒分離,味道平均。迷你荔芋包餡料太少,故荔芋味不突出。相對來說是包太多。八寶飯賣相精緻。糯米飯內釀有豆沙,和平常吃的不同,食落比較溜。而個人喜歡較用桂花糖澆面版本的八寶飯。總括來說是包類不及別的食物出色。

排骨蛋炒飯
排骨大到覆蓋炒飯,肉質嫩口,外面炸得香脆。炒飯也好,粒粒分離,味道平均。

迷你荔芋包
餡料太少,故荔芋味不突出。相對來說是包太多。

八寶飯
賣相精緻。糯米飯內釀有豆沙,和平常吃的不同,食落比較溜。而個人喜歡較用桂花糖澆面版本的八寶飯。

總括來說是包類不及別的食物出色。

Taste:Xiao Long Bao 小籠包 - Came in a batch of 6. They looked quite flat when they came. Vinegar is at the side and you get your own little sauce dish with shredded ginger in it. I used the chopsticks to pick the Xiao Long Bao 小籠包 up, and it did not burst. So the skin is well made. Dipped it into the vinegar and putted in my mouth all at once and it fitted nicely. It wasnt boiling hot so it did not burn me when I bited into it. I liked the taste of it, with a rich meat taste BUT there was hardly any juice/soup in it. It was all dried out. There was only little juice in it. I was highly disappointed.

Noodles mixed in sesame and Peanut sauce 台式擔擔撈麵 This came first, and the noodles looked very well made. You can see how visible each strand of noodles are. The soup is rich and thick. But is not as thick so you can still drink the whole soup. Only thing is the noodles seem to be just putted on top of the soup, so not all together. The noodles wasnt cut either, so they became very long. The soup wasnt as spicy as I have had before but it was still good with peanuts on top. Portion wasnt very big, I dont think it was enough to fill two people up. The bowl looked really big but not enough.

Steamed Chinese-style layer cake 千層油糕 This has always been my favourite dish from Din Tai Fung. I had this before when it first opened. Portions arent big but very satisfying. If you are looking for something sweet as a dessert then I would not recommend you this, as the taste is quite subtle and not sweet at all. The texture is squishy, and soft, but as it has layers of it, it has this bouncy texture but nmot chewy. I love it esp it comes steaming hot. It has this hakka dumpling/cakes taste which I ike. And I have not seen or eaten this at other restaurants. I love this

Conclusion: This is 3rd time I have tried Din Tai Fung. First time, I was not impressed esp I have heard about the rave from this restaurant and lined up 1.5 hours for this place. Their Xiao lung bau is wayyyyyyy OVER RATED. The Xiao Lung bau from Gum moon ting is WAYYYYY better, more in the portion, juicier and tastier. Second time I had was at taiwan where it was originated from. It was better than Hong Kong, but still wasnt above average. Third time was today and I still dont understand why there is such a huge queue. For what, I would like to know.
Xiao lung bau comes in ONLY 6 when they come in 9 in Taiwan, they are small, dry and not juicy at all. The noodles are average, their menu is limited. I have had tastier and better overall rating. You must have their tea which is 6 hk dollars each, and they dont even let you choose what type of tea. It is a huge restaurant, but you still manage to qeue for half an hour, but it has already improved, maybe from decline of popularity? First time I needed queue for 1.5 hour. The waitresses were all in a rush, did not seem welcoming. everytime we finish, or near finish, they quickly took away my dishes. I am not impressed. Giving it 3 chances to prove themself is more than enough. Wont be coming back

After writing a scathing review of The Yuu (horrid service, don't go there!) I prefer going back to my roots as a foodie and obsessing about good food. Service:
Impeccable and unbeatable. There was a funny incident last time where my dad accidentally spilled tea. Before we even saw it the waitress was on it and cleaned it right up. I don't remember another place that was so on the mark.

The Food and Pricing:
This is all about Taiwanese cuisine and if you don't fancy it, it's a good idea not to come here (though the xiao long bao should be tasty for any carnivore). In addition, this place is not cheap by any means but you get what you pay for if you choose wisely. That said if you only want the best food pay the premium for the following three

Xiao Long Bao (regular)
The perfect xiao long bao with delicious soup inside and perfectly wrapped so not one of our baskets (more than 30 xiao long baos) had a rip. One that seemed to drip was actually due to the plethora of juices inside coming out from the top.

Xiao Long Bao (Hairy crab)
I love crab but I'm not a big fan of the Hairy Crab variety. That said, if you LIKE hairy crab you'll love these xiao long bao inspirations as I've been told they're bursting with flavor. Though I pass, I heard they're delicious and worth the price premium.

Dan Dan Mien
Another taiwan authentic dish made genuine right down to the fragrant leaves and slightly bitter aftertaste. It is spicy but nothing too hot to handle. It is bursting with flavor and some love the juices enough to eat it straight. It is a bit too salty for me though so it just goes excellently with the noodles.

Overall:
I cannot recommend a restaurant that places a premium higher than Din Tai Fung. To me it's one of those places where you go "it's expensive" but then realize "it's worth it". You won't be disappointed with the service and the taiwanese cuisine.
