Place nice, sevice good, the food was mediocre and the price was incredible expensive for the cheap quality !
We was a party of 8 and 2 kids and try to share most possible of the dishes in the menu, so we ordered the most popular .
-pork knuckle was normal, nothing bad but nothing outstanding for that price, but the potatoes had a strange taste of "earth"...terrible sensation .
-Reginelle pasta...The pasta was extremely unsalty and the pesto sauce with sundried tomato is not the best match for that pasta, the presentation in the plate looks like someone just drop a preheat dinner from a can.
-the raclette was described as a waffle with cheese and vegetables
OMG....was a small slice of bread toasted in waffle machine and covered a strange melted mozzarella with chunk of pickle and some mushrooms and 3 cherry tomatoes. (At the first impression seems like someone toasted the left of some other table and coner with cheese) Technically have use a good quality and a generous protion of Swiss cheese, if you melt just some "meeh cheese" on the topn So please...please...... cancel from the menu if not able to prepare. Sell a slice of bruschetta toasted and call that "waffle" is a scam ! 100 dollars left in the plate and trashed.
- mixed sausages was too salty and too cheap, the same sausage are possible buy in a normal supermarket and served just with a spoon of sauerkraut.
-wiener schnitzel was good, but too thin the beef, is breaded meat basically if too thin at the end I just eat deep fry crumbed bread with taste of beef.
-cheese dumplins....the real name is speatzle, BUT are overcooked, too big the shape of the pasta and dipped in too much cream and cheese, the meatballs was too hard and flat taste, but good if compared with golf balls.
-the black forest cake was something so cheap and with a so flat taste that I'm sure is possible find a better one frozen in a cheap supermarket .
-the strudel was just a pretending strudel...walnut instead pinenut, no cinnamon and please...please the puff pastry must be crunchy !! Tha was an apple pie filling with some walnut dust rolled in a soft sheet of "something"
-the water was not filtered, the taste was disgusting, but if you prefer for 55 hkd you can buy a can of coke..yes 55 !!
We spent more than 2.500 dollars, and I'm sure, for that price in a place like this I expect at the least "normal" quality for the food and no trick for let me spend more money or see how they save money using cheapest ingredients.
A simple suggestion, someone with foodie culture, have to taste the quality of the food every day and don't be so greedy, for earn couple hundred of dollars they lost 8 clients plus all that people will ask us "a good was the restaurant ?"
For sure next time we'll celebrate our party in a different place, anywhere, but not here again.
