Chives have a unique taste and is delicous even by simply poaching it. With just a little bit of seasoning, the flavour is enhanced and the crisp vegetables are sure to impress!
Ingredient and Portion
chives 400g
bonito flakes 8g
minced garlic 1tbsp
soya sauce some
Method
wash chives, then remove stalk parts.
Poach chives in boiling water until done, then take out and run in cold water until cooled.
Cut chives into desired lengths and place in plate.
Sprinkle on top bonito flakes and pour some soya sauce on top. Serve.
Tips
The same seasonig is also good for other vegetabels such as water spinach, aspapragus, choi sum, etc.
