Yakitori and torisashi are some of my favorite Japanese cuisines. However torisashi is a rare dish in HK and not many people are keen on taking raw chicken. Izakaya staple with an extra tamago. The potatoes weren't completely mashed which preserved the original texture.

The breast was slightly softer and the leg meat was sweeter with a firmer texture. Wish they'd include liver sashimi in future!

Skewers were grilled on point and served piping hot. Chouchin was a standout - they served only the bursting ovary without the chewy fallopian tube, with liver and thigh meat to be enjoyed in one bite to achieve a blend of flavors. Other highlights included the juicy thigh with crispy skin and the crunchy feet meat.

Resembled croque monsieur. Thin and crispy aburaage sandwiching melting cheese and ham.

Homemade dessert. The sorbet was tart and pungent, while the ice cream served with chocolate oatmeal made a perfect combo in wrapping up the scrumptious meal.

They're currently offering a selection of free flow sake at $368 per person. The in-house kikisakeshi are also able to recommend sake for food pairing.

◆澤の花 純米大吟醸 花あかり
Light and refreshing. Great for drinking with or without food. Balanced sweetness with fragrant peach flavors.

◆長良川 -Dry Fruity- 純米大吟醸 無濾過原酒
Not so often to have a fruity yet dry sake. Hints of Okinawan tofunyu and pineapple. Sharp and dry finish.

◆菊の司 心星 火入れ
Strawberry and candy on the palate with a dry finish.

◆寒紅梅 純米吟醸 山田錦
A sweet junmai ginjo. Dominant pear with some musk melon and kyoho grapes.

◆神亀 辛口純米酒
An aged junmai packed with umami. Hints of caramel and honey. Would be more flavorful to drink as kanshu.

◆米鶴 純米まほろば
Sweet on the palate with smooth umami and a dry finish. Clean and easy to drink.
