I was at Disneyland with the family for the weekend and we decided to stop at the Grand Salon for food. Since it was ~4pm, my mom and I ordered the afternoon tea set for two. Everything was absolutely delicious!!
When it came, we just sat back for a couple of minutes because everything was just so adorable. I love how innovative Disney can be even when it comes to food presentation.
Food
Sandwiches:
Egg Salad - excellent
Ham & Pickle - nothing special
Shrimp & Cucumber on Mickey Mouse Toast - fresh and flavorful, excellent (not to mention, SO ADORABLE!)
Smoked Salmon - great!, bread was slightly soggy
Dim Sum/Pastries:
'Dan Tat' - good!!!! comparable to my favorite ones from KFC
Scones - average, nothing special
'Char Siu So' - excellent, flaky, buttery and char siu was not dry either
Mini Sausage Roll - tasty!
Dessert:
Pistaccio & Raspberry Mousse Cup - Okay, combination slightly odd
Pecan Pie - delicious! huge slices too.
Highlights
The problem I have with some other afternoon tea sets is that the sandwiches are portioned way too small. This was definitely not the case at the Grand Salon. Portions were generous and quality was good.
Another pet peeve I have with afternoon tea places is that they DON'T GIVE YOU TWO OF EACH THING. How the hell am I supposed to share a tiny-ass sandwich between two people?! As you can see from the pictures though, there was no need to cut anything in half to share. THANK GOD.
Atmosphere/Service
Service was rather slow at times, and during the day there are SO MANY LITTLE KIDS RUNNING AROUND. So if you're looking for a super quiet, chill, place to be, this may not be your best bet...

Overall, an awesome place for afternoon tea, I just wish it wasn't so damn far! I can't wait to go back.
