Had a group dinner at Homeland in Mong Kok (MK) and decided to try a bit of everything from their extensive menu. It's a place offering a mix of Western and perhaps some fusion dishes. Here’s the rundown of what we ate:Homeland Lobster Bisque ($78)We started with their signature lobster bisque 🦞. It was decently creamy with a noticeable, though not overpowering, seafood flavour. We started with their signature lobster bisque 🦞. It was decently creamy with a noticeable, though not overpowering, seafood flavour. A warm and comforting starter.
A standard Caesar salad 🥗. Came with a good portion of smoked salmon. The dressing and croutons were pretty standard. A safe choice.
Who can resist baked broccoli topped with melted cheese? 🥦🧀 This was a simple, hot, and satisfying vegetable side dish.
A solid platter for sharing 🌭. It featured a variety of German-style sausages, grilled nicely. Served likely with some mustard or dip. Good beer food!
This pasta caught our eye because of the special "Kyouwa Ranou" Japanese egg yolk 🍳. The carbonara itself was rich and creamy, coating the spaghetti well. Mixing in the deep-coloured, premium yolk added an extra layer of richness and flavour. Definitely a level up from standard carbonara. 🍝👍
This seemed to be a signature main course and was the priciest item we ordered. 🔥 The name suggests a dramatic presentation, possibly flamed tableside. It's a whole chicken infused with the unique flavours of fragrant osmanthus 🌸 and beer 🍺. The chicken was tender and had a distinct aroma. Definitely a dish designed for sharing and the most talked-about item of the night. 🍗
Ordered this as a drink 🍫. It was a warm, comforting hazelnut-flavoured chocolate drink. Sweet and nutty.
