We reserved a table for 2 after my friend from Cyprus recommended this place to us. She warned us it costs much more than what it really costs back in Greece but that it was worth it.
And she was right!
The atmosphere
The restaurant is pretty cosy, with white stone walls and blue windows. Tables are simply decorated and traditional Greek music is played. The staff is friendly and can advise on wine choices.

The menu
Nice selection of mostly traditional dishes from Greece. They have meaty main courses, starters, salads, dips and desserts. Prices are quite high for what it is but for Hong Kong it's quite normal.

The food
Dish 1: Octopus salad (tomato, cucumber, onion,  green peppers & lettuce with a vinaigrette of red wine vinegar and extra virgin olive oil)
The octopus was cooked to perfection and fresh. Not too chewy and just tasty. Salad was refreshing. A great way to warm up.

Dish 2: Melitzana (eggplant casserole, in fresh tomato sauce and herbs topped with galotyri)
This tasted homey and super warming on a cooler winter night. The galotyri on top was so creamy and matched the tomato sauce well. This casserole didn't look very big but it had just enough for us to share before our meaty main course.

Dish 3 (main course): Kleftiko lamb (lamb shank slowly baked with vegetables, garlic and feta cheese)
I hadn't had such a good lamb shank for years! The meat was tender and falling off the bone. Vegetables underneath were well cooked, a mix of eggplants, potatoes, tomatoes and zucchini. It reminded of our ratatouille in France and completed the lamb perfectly. Loved the feta cheese touch. It just all tasted authentic and as if a grandma was cooking in the kitchen (who knows? I haven't seen the cook actually).

Dish 4 - Dessert: Baklava (filo pastry filled with almond, walnuts and honey)
We couldn't finish such a good Greek meal without a baklava. It came in little individual rolls, very easy to eat and share. Crispy filo pastry with a lovely crunchiness from the nuts and sweet honey. I'm sure the calorie count is off the roof but this dessert was delicious!

Overall we had a great experience. We shared all dishes. We had 2 glasses of white each as well, from Greece if I remember well (they also had Italian wines). Although it was a bit loud in there because of a big party of people behind us, it only just reminded us of the Mediterranean feel you get in noisy tapas bars in Spain. It's just part of the culture. We ordered the perfect amount for 2 people and a good combination of classic dishes.

Will definitely come back for an occasion, or just to treat ourselves a yummy Greek meal in a few months time.
