Met up with boyfriend and his family as we were going to PMQ to view this year's Detour. Originally, we were to meet for lunch but by the time they arrived in Central it was already afternoon tea time. Menu is in Chinese. Ask the waitstaff for English menu as it is available. There is no 10% service charge. Prices are pretty cheap and everything comes with a drink.
I ordered a bowl of vermicelli noodles with two chicken wings, daikon, two pork balls, two beef balls, tofu, 2 slices of Vietnamese sausage and a scoop of minced pork. All for $47. A lot going on! And portion size was not small. Except it was so salty. There was so much msg, it was ridiculous. I gave boyfriend my daikon as he likes it and he said ... wow so salty. I looked him sadly, you only had the daikon. I have a whole bowl. His sister ordered a pineapple fried rice. I neglected to take a photo as this place was beyond comprehension how terrible the food was. But the pineapple fried rice lacked any color. It was just some white rice with bits of pineapple thrown in. It was too sad to photograph.
Yes, the food came out very fast. Prices are cheap and portions big. Especially hard to find in Central and that is why it was probably packed. But I don't work in this area and in no need to just find a cheap place to stuff my face with food so I can continue back to my cubicle. So, I won't be back. Even if boyfriend wants to return, I won't.
