Having been busy for some days for the half year production work, I decided to do some good food as compensation. Asked some love-eating colleagues and finally chose this congee restaurant because I did not want to eat so much at nights. The shop location wasnt that convenient that might need some time finding. The restaurant was not very big and customers might need to share tables. Luckily (or should be unhappy...) that I came around 9pm and I was seated at a 4-people table at a quiet cornet myself.
There were meal sets served. One main and one sider. Personally, I would say they were quite expensive... Compared to other shops, its pricing was nearly double...
Finally ordered the most famous set (HKD77 + 10%)
1) Fried noodles (⭐️⭐️💢💢💢): Very normal fried noodles which were actually quite dry... Quality didnt match the price...
2) Pork Liver & Scallop Congee (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): A big contrast to the fried noodles. The congee base was very outstanding with rich fish meat taste. From its menu - "The base was stewed for 4 hours and made with many kind of fresh fishes, without using any MSG." Really, I didnt feel thirsty afterwards. Pork liver was also good! Suitable thickness and not too salty. Scallops were fresh and definitely not frozen. 4 pieces for each definitely not enough! Haha. However, just an improvement point was that the toppings were definitely cooked separately that the congee did not have their taste...
All in all, the congee undoubtedly was outstanding but was a little bit expensive. Once-in-a-while try would be enough.
