The Ming Court is a beautiful restaurant on the 6th floor of the Cordis Hotel. I say this because the decor is honestly the best part of my experience there. I am shocked that this place has a Michelin star. The tofu was soft and delicate, but the seasoning was bland and unremarkable. The half-duck was greasy and lukewarm. Chicken and crab soup had crabshell piece in it! Unacceptable. Wine menu was fine, but leaned sweet and unremarkable.
Service was also bad. The waiter could not communicate clearly, and was unable to provide recommendations for ordering. They did not offer me tea, and actually removed the tea service. I had to ask twice for water, and never received it! The sommelier was good, though.
Worst meal I had in Hong Kong, and one of the most expensive.
