I guess 鼎泰豐 is a familiar name to all hongkongers, especially being the first place you may think of when mentioning Xiao Long Bao. I have visited the one in Taiwan before, and the quality was quite impressive, even tho it's on the pricy side. This time, I explored various of dishes in the Hong Kong Branch and see if the quality is up to their headquarters.

Overall, the food was good in average, but both the presentation and the taste were just straight forward. It gives the feeling of standardized quality, but not being remarkable. On the other hand, the service was excellent, not saying they were friendly, but there were plenty of staff on the floor and being attentive at every moment.

The skin was thin, and surrounding the flavorful meat, but I expected to have more juice inside to make it worth its price.

Thin layer of tofu skin enveloped the shrimp paste. The chef manged to make it crispy yet not being oily.

(It's too good that I finished it without a single thought of taking picture.😂)
As a taro paste all time lover, the paste was silky, having rich taro taste and not being overly sweet. It was a pure pleasure when it exploses in your mouth after you take a bite.
