I have once had their lunch set delivered to the office, not from this branch but it was a wholly satisfactory experience. So I decided to go here for birthday celebration.
We ordered a set dinner meal which includes bread, starter and two main dishes. We added on two desserts, the Tiramisu and Panna Cotta.
1. Bread
It was served in a Paper Bag. I was surprised that only 4 tiny slices were served with no replenishment available. Not to mention it was literally cold and crusty. If you are to offer bread, be generous.
2. Starter
Ready-made Parma Ham. No cheese, no bread, simply ham.
3. Beef Cheek Pappardelle
Pasta was made al dente and the beef cheek tasted good. It was the best dish of the night but the portion was horrifyingly small.
4. Prawn Chittara
Prawns were made fresh. Otherwise nothing spectacular.
5. Desserts
I was stunned by the way they served our desserts. They were placed on top of a napkin full of cocoa powder on a single plate with two spoons by the side.
I did not expect any genuine service, but it agitated me when they put the bill on the table in an hour without any communication. It is fine if we were informed in advance that a time limitation is exerted for each table. This was so hospitable.
For this average quality of food and the exceptional service we received, this restaurant is obviously overrated and ridiculously priced. Never again.
