Don't expect good food from a karaoke place

For my birthday this year, a few people from the group had to work late, so the rest of us started the night by going to CEO Neway to sing k.  I made a reservation the week before just in case, but that is generally not necessary for this branch as it's usually not packed even at night and on weekends.The room we had was clean, and it was quite cold with the A/C on.  CEO Neway charges higher rates than regular Neway, but on the plus side, we had a private restroom in our room.  Since I skipped l

Since I skipped lunch that day, I decided to order a couple snacks before dinner.  I picked the satay and the fries.

Iced Lemon Tea

 I got an iced lemon tea as my included drink.  It's just a normal iced lemon tea, but it was quite sweet.

 There were 12 pieces to the satay, 4 each of pork, chicken, and beef.  The meat was quite tough on all of them.  The sauce was not a peanut sauce, and it tasted quite strange.  It tasted like a laksa-flavored sauce.

 I guess our Chinese must be not that good because we thought what we ordered was curly fries, but it was actually crinkle fries.  They first gave us 2 packets of ketchup, and we requested more, and they gave us a bunch.  The crinkle fries were quite bad.  It wasn't salted evenly, and it wasn't fully cooked.  The inside was cold and still hard.

 As with other karaoke places, they charged us for mandatory snacks and fruit plate.  They charged $70 for the three bags of chips which we could get for one fifth of the price in the convenient store across the street.
The fruit plate looked so bad that none of us actually touched it.

CEO Neway is only good for its karaoke services.  I should've eaten before I went to sing k.

    小肥同哥哥、K哥、以及契妹喺灣仔克街一家新開o既韓式燒烤店慶祝完一輪，四人大感意猶未盡，所以就行咗去隔離英皇中心，上樓上「CEO Neway」 度唱K。XO仔實在係太耐冇唱K啦，去到先知原來K店以前o既花生果盤早已變成包裝薯片零食，K友唔想食到喉嚨沙啞，因而唱唔到歌，可選擇攞返屋企慢慢嘆，不過單售$70包似乎食水深咗啲喎！當日黃金時段人頭費為$159，每位包咗兩杯原價$25指定o既無酒精飲品，咁即係話入場費及房租每人$109，有私人廁所用，又有電腦打碟，其實都好合理。凍檸蜜（原價$25）：凍檸蜜內含三片檸檬，當中o既蜜糖味唔夠濃厚潤喉，所以小肥第二杯轉咗飲蘋果汁。蘋果汁（原價$25）：清澈o既蘋果汁好明顯係盒裝飲品倒出黎，故味道只可用正常黎形容。埋單每人$235，有勁多新歌唱，室內冷氣足，大家都好興奮，不過貴就貴在嗰四包薯片囉 ！

      Normally I go to the CEO Neway on Sugar Street but as I was in Wan Chai, I decided to go here.Had the buffet as well for dinner so it works out about $300 per person including a bag of compulsory charged crisps.Unfortunately the food selection was a bit sub par for CEO, it was the same type of food served at NEWAY but charged at CEO prices.The bak kut teh soup was mostly oil and had lots of msg in it.The audio quality of that room was not good either so it was a double disappointment.Next time I

      Saw an ad for this branch so decided to go there instead of CEO on Sugar Street.It was really expensive for its location and the food was rubbish.The food at the Sugar Street branch is much better because the food here was exactly what you get at the normal Neway branches in Kowloon.You get compulsory prawn crackers and fruit.They did have macarons at the buffet but they were a bit soft.The only thing I liked were the icecream lollies because I have not tried them before.The Dairy milk chocolate

       The only thing I liked were the icecream lollies because I have not tried them before.
      The Dairy milk chocolate lolly was similar to UK's mini milk and it tasted surprisingly nice just like frozen chocolate.

       As for the foot shaped lolly, it had a strong vanilla taste with chocolate icecream in the middle.
      I was glad this was in the dessert section because I would not buy it if there were other ice lollies to choose from.

       The bill was about $3xx per person which was a bit pricey when the food was not as good at the Sugar branch.
      The song selection could be better, but it could be issues with music companies or people don't listen to music these days.
      Some songs which came out ages ago have just been added to their new karaoke song section!!

      The rate of new songs released by singers are slow and singers holding concerts have become scarce that concerts are beginning to hold joint concerts with several singers so that people will go and see it.

      WHAT IS HAPPENING TO HONG KONG'S CANTOPOP INDUSTRY!!!???!!

      去到唔洗等房，用左唔洗1分鐘時間登記就入到房，好有效率。裝修很華麗，高貴!!!!未入房已經聞到陣陣清香，進入房間香味扑耳而來，而且周圍都好干淨及有獨立洗手間。音響更是一流，讚!!!!BUFFET 種樣繁多，甜品各式各樣，湯類毫無味精雞粉，真材實料，重要有大眾都喜愛既壽司刺身，好吸引，YUMMY YUMMY^@^很有品味的一間CEO，除了效率服務也不少，很有被專重及重視的感覺!!!價錢合理服務周到以禮待人音響設備好下次一定再去過
