It serves dim sum in the morning, while lunch and dinner feature a variety of special seafood and other Chinese-style dishes. The owner, a former boat people, ensures a daily supply of fresh seafood. 蜑家 refers to the Tanka people, who are traditionally boat-drwelling communities in southern China. The cooking style is somewhat unique, reflecting the rustic flavors once prepared on fishing boats. It operates like a private kitchen, often offering off-menu dishes based on the day's fresh ingredients - especially wild-caught small fish. Their claypot rice (煲仔飯) is particularly popular in winter.The entrance is at street level, making it wheelchair accessible. For those driving, metered parking is available along the street, and there is also a nearby paid parking lot. The dishes were delicious and served piping hot - just how I like it. Although the Stir-Fried Squid was a bit too salty, the rest were absolutely delightful. Overall, most dishes have bold flavors, but the ingredients are undeniably fresh.The service was excellent, and we were offered complimentary desserts at the end of the meal - a very nice touch!
