This was delicious however the portion was small.
The rice at the bottom of the pot was burnt so it was crispy.
The chopped pieces of black olives and minced pork tasted really nice when it was mixed with the rice, however this dish can be quite salty.

我和老公都很想念曼谷的 Somtum, 尤其其惹味的泰式沙津。從香草的運用與醬汁的調較足可反映餐廳有多地道,醃粉絲看似很乾身,但入口仍感受到陣陣的香草及配料氣味,醬汁中的魚露、青檸汁及甜度也調得不錯,自然不造作,與香草及配料配撘合宜,辣味就從淺慢慢地滲出勁來,這一刻有觸電的感覺,原來當泰辣重新落在味蕾的時候是會如斯的興奮。

與 Somtum 相比,香氣與食味還是淡了一點點,但在香港能嚐如此泰國地道的沙律風味,我倆已感到十分滿意!

香氣已從遠遠飄來,芥蘭呈油潤的墨綠色,鹹魚質量也不錯,小小條狀的也能吃出魚肉結實,香氣豐盈,加上鑊氣佳與調味得宜,每一根芥蘭都是滋味。

青咖喱也是我們的至愛。切成片狀的雞肉驟眼以為是豬肉片,內有泰國的圓茄子,軟中帶點爽口。咖喱汁較稀,可能水份放多了,還好青咖喱獨有的香氣也不遜,若能稍為將咖喱汁調稠一點,香葉味再重丁點來增添香氣,相信該青咖喱可媲美泰國的了。

此香辣魚食味似乎與名字不太吻合,先是撇除採用了魚柳的問題,味道全是酸酸甜甜的,吃不出任何香辣出來,若它是一道酸甜魚柳,絶對是味佳之作,但與我們預期的香辣魚實在落差太大了!接近兩百元的一碟魚,竟弄出這個模樣,真是有點兒失望,我懷疑侍應落錯單!

幸好 "酸甜魚柳" 沒有影響我們的食慾,前面的菜式仍是美味,看一大瓷兜的白飯最後也被我倆清掉便可了解!

除了香辣魚外,其他菜式也合乎我們對泰菜的要求,從酸、辣的主調中帶出細膩與變化,將地道泰菜的味兒打到味蕾上,令我倆一再回味,這一頓感覺在曼谷的街頭上。下次想吃泰菜時,Chili Club 會是我的選擇。

正式泰菜都是小小的一碟,並不以大堆頭見稱,Chili Club 的份量就是很地道。

I went to dinner here with a group of 12 on Thursday. It was busy but we had reservations, so there was no problem there.Here's what our side of the table (six of us) ordered: thai beef salad, papaya salad, tom yum (large), shrimp stir fried with chili paste, a red curry, fried chicken with cashews and basil, and pad kee mao.Thai beef salad: the beef was tender and quite tasty. I went to dinner here with a group of 12 on Thursday. It was busy but we had reservations, so there was no problem there.

Here's what our side of the table (six of us) ordered: thai beef salad, papaya salad, tom yum (large), shrimp stir fried with chili paste, a red curry, fried chicken with cashews and basil, and pad kee mao.

Thai beef salad: the beef was tender and quite tasty. I was going to say it wasn't up to my standards, because it wasn't as tangy or spicy as I expect Thai beef salad to be, but reading the other reviews I realize that the dipping sauces must have just been on the other end of the table. 9/10

Papaya salad: I thought the papaya, as well as all the other vegetables in the salad, was too soggy and limp. Tasted alright, but with no real crunch. 6/10

Tom yum: I liked the soup. Often I find tom yum too greasy and overly citric with one or two shrimp that are mostly heads with little meat. This soup had a rich, flavorful broth that was well balanced and not too greasy or with too much lime. The prawns were big and not overcooked, but I don't think there wound up being enough prawns for all 6 of us to get one. The "large" bowl of soup, as one other reviewer said, is not very large. 8/10

Shrimp in chili paste: this was shrimp, onions and bell peppers. The "chili sauce" was extremely oily. I thought everything tasted great, but partly only because it was coated in fat. 7/10

Red curry w/ chicken: Sorry, I can't remember exactly which curry this was. It was one of the ones with coconut milk in it, and we asked for it "extra spicy". I thought the curry was the star of our meal-- it was rich and thick without being dominated by the coconut milk, the chicken was tender... good stuff. 10/10

Fried chicken with cashews and basil: I found this dish a little oily and flavorless. 4/10

Pad kee mao: I order this at every Thai restaurant I go to. Until now, I hadn't found anywhere that makes it with the thick, broad, chewy rice noodles-- but Chili Club is now the one exception. I thought that it could have used more veggies and that ground meat was an odd choice for the dish, but I was just ecstatic that they had the noodles! 8/10

I really enjoyed the food here. Some of it wasn't to my liking, but then again some of it wasn't ordered by me. Final score: 8/10
題外話/補充資料: The portion sizes are not large, and tend to a little on the small side. If you're ordering for a group, I'd suggest 3 dishes for every 2 people, plus some rice (if relevant). The menu lists "Thai Beer"-- in case you were wondering, the beer is Singha.

We went upstairs on a busy Friday night and we seated immediately. The restaurant environment is no-nonsense. While they did a renovation a couple years ago its still basically a large room with scattered tables. You come here for the food, not the atmosphere.

They have a large and varied menu, with all the usual standbys as well as some more unusual dishes.

On this occasion we ordered: splcy squid salad, grilled beef with spicy dipping sauce, Yum Woon Sen (bean thread noodle salad), Panang Chicken Curry (thick curry), and thai grilled chicken, along with steamed rice.

Food is always delivered quickly. The Squid salad tastes fresh and the dressing is a flavorful combination of lime juice, nampla fish sauce, chili, and garlic. Personally, I like to add some extra lime or lemon juice to it. The squid is always freshly prepared and is usually still warm when added to the salad and you can taste the just-cooked texture when you bite into it. The warm squid and the cold and crisp celery and onion is a great combination.

The grilled beef is another great appetizer. Grilled, thinly sliced flank steak is served alongside a spicy dipping sauce of chili powder, nampla, lime juice, and roasted rice powder. Yum!

Yum Woon Sen is an old thai standby. Warm, glass noodles with ground pork and shrimp with a lime-chili sauce. Again, fresh and tasty.

Everyone loves thai curries, but Chili Club does these great. I'm a huge fan of the panang curry which is a thicker curry with a little spice. Personally, I like my thai food REALLY spicy so I dress it up with some additional prik nampla.


Chili Club's thai grilled chicken is something you shouldn't miss. Marinated and grilled chicken is juicy and flavorful.

Chili Club's service is basic but effective. Its almost always busy there so the wait-staff is usually running around but like many HK restaurant, just a quick shout and you'll have them coming to your attention.

There are a lot of choice in thai restaurants in Hong Kong but if you haven't tried Chili Club you owe it to yourself to give it a shot.

第一次去食。食完正餐想叫甜品。問個侍應甜品係唔係送,佢話係,而且比我哋個睇個sample。所以每人叫了一份。賣單時,發現甜品計咗$114。問返個侍應個甜品明眀話送為什麼又計錢?佢話"我係「送」比你睇,無話係「送」,可能我後面幾個字大細聲你聽唔到。但我明明問佢係唔「送」,佢話「係」。所有人都聽到。佢連sorry都無句就走咗。後來不想噪,付了錢就走。

週五相約同事到公司附近吃泰國菜,選定在Openrice獲不錯評價的Chili Club。小食試了炸蝦餅,有別於其他店舖的炸蝦餅,這兒的炸蝦餅呈小Donut狀,挺特別。口感方面,略為腍身,蝦味偏淡。主菜點了三款,首先是肉豆豬頸肉,醬汁味道頗濃,並夾着少許香料的獨特味道,適合配上白飯吃。食材(肉豆及豬頸肉)本身則無乜特別。胡椒蝦口感OK,但食不出胡椒味噃!青咖哩雞醬汁味道椰油及甜味較辣味重,都幾好食。雞肉方面棄用雞球而用雞片,感覺差了一點點,加上雞片肉質略鞋,還要扣點分數。

Saturday evening, it was full, waited for 15 mins. i had bad experience 3 years ago but, wanted to try again with friends.first of all, all chinese (male) crew didnt care for us while waiting, i wrote my name and 4 persons on the waiting list by myself.later we ordered some food, papaya salad was tiny, tom yum soup (big) was just normal size, i was shocked with the size of chicken curry.we order for 4 persons, they should have at least warn us that 'small dish not enough for you'. when we compla

later we ordered some food, papaya salad was tiny, tom yum soup (big) was just normal size, i was shocked with the size of chicken curry.
we order for 4 persons, they should have at least warn us that 'small dish not enough for you'. when we complained, waiter didnt make any comment and just left without saying anything.
they later ignored us, they were so busy and we were just some 'mafan gweilo' who keep complaining. this restaurant just lucky because of the location, not many other thai choices at lockhart road.
later i asked for a comment card, they didnt have of course. after asking 2 times, they brought me an A4 and i complained, wrote my telephone and e-mail. guess did they call? of course NO


I just dont suggest you guys try out there. there are lots of others...

this is my first time there.I'v seen this restaurant being busy all the time. Finally, I had dinner there on sat. it's really busy.Service is not attentive.sitting is crowd. this is my first time there.I'v seen this restaurant being busy all the time. Finally, I had dinner there on sat. it's really busy.Service is not attentive.sitting is crowd. You can't move around at all. Food is terrible. PS I just found another new Thai restaurant which opens just two months ago.It's located just a block away from this crappy one. Service is attentive. Food is awesome. Price is bit lower. Anyone who looks for good Thai food and service rather than a "pop" place wtih crappy food, Do try out the J and K Thai restaurant.

Came here a few weeks ago and loved it so I decided to come again for my birthday. Again, everyone thought the food was really good and no dish went unfinished.Starters - Som Tam, Pomelo salad, thai beef salad, pork satay all goodShrimp and vegetables tempura very greasy, probably the one dish to avoidMains - Fried Shrimp in chilli paste, Crab in Chilli paste the shrimp are very nice! the shrimp are very nice! Actually they have the same flavour so choose which you prefer. personally I loved the shrimp.
Fish in Hot and sour soup
very nice flavour and i really liked the soup
Green and red curry
nice flavour but not spicy
Noodles with chicken and basil, special rice in pineapple shell
delicious, we had to order more

Overall the food was very nice and there are enough dishes so everyone who can and cannot eat spicy were all happy. Price was less than 170 HKD per person including some drinks, not bad at all in my opinion.

Today felt like having thai food again, as usual their air conditioning was overly cold.I ordered the minced beef fried ho fun, assuming it was ho fun with bits of minced beef, but when it arrived it looked like chinese bolognaise on top of ho fun.The bolognaise as i call it, was basically stirred egg bits with minced beef, green peppers and tomato mixed together in clear sauce, and the ho fun, was just stir fried ho fun beneath it. Presentation wise, my friends said it looked like puke!!
Service was very slow today, usually the food arrives a a few minutes after placing the order, also this time the dishes came one at a time!

本人雖然很喜歡吃泰菜, 但就不甚喜歡吃咖哩. 今次在這間泰菜餐廳, 反而令我覺得這裡的咖哩甚為出色. 一行8人叫了頗多菜式, 大部份都在水準以上.1.泰菜例牌的木瓜沙律2.炸蝦餅 幾好味的, 不過一碟只得3件, 所以order了2碟3.食唔出雞定豬的串燒這個串燒就甚失色, 燒到像柴一般4.好多料的海鮮冬陰功不太辣, 材料頗豐富, 如果可以濃味一點就更好5.沙爹肉碎脆米很特別的, 脆米真的很脆, 點上汁當堂變得又香又脆6.原隻椰子飯飯裡有啖啖椰肉, 配上汁的飯非常好味 7.海鮮咖哩....撈飯勁正很出色的咖哩, 我撈左幾碗飯8.青咖哩牛腩同樣出色, 牛腩蚊到入口即溶, 青咖哩很香但完全唔辣9.燒完都仲好嫩的燒雞一般燒雞都是表面脆皮肉質乾且無味. 但這個燒雞裡面的雞肉竟然很嫩滑!!10.香葉雞絲炒河很香口, 但略嫌太多油11.炒雜菜都是略嫌太多油另外我們再叫了2大缽飯, 加椰青.基本上都是抵吃而有水準的一餐
