已經很久没有去過上環,難得今天經過便在這裡嘆午餐,因為星期日這裡的人比較少,可以慢慢吃!走進這間叻沙小店,當然要試試招牌叻沙,最後我叫了我最喜歡的《香煎牛脷叻沙》,牛脷很林可借一点牛味也没有,叻沙更是淡而無味,而且竟然是越南檬粉, 真的非常失望! 没有下次

喜歡食laksa的我,聽到介紹講呢間就要去試下。叫左"正宗喇沙",但係一D都唔正宗!第一,個湯係"白"色,coconut 多左,但佢的辣味又唔係個隻辣!第二,佢地用左檬粉,即係越南粉個隻,又碎,完全錯晒!仲有叫左凍檸茶,完全唔凍的,仲諗住要佢來解辣,最後要惜朋友的幾粒冰都唔得!我朋友叫海南雞飯,但D雞係有骨的!Really not recommended!

Settled for lunch here as most of the eateries in Sheung Wan was closed. Fat Man remarked that this place was quite famous for its Singaporean cuisine like Laksa. Settled for lunch here as most of the eateries in Sheung Wan was closed. Fat Man remarked that this place was quite famous for its Singaporean cuisine like Laksa. As a Singapore, I have no expectations, as such places are usually very far off from the real thing. The restaurant was quite full. We ordered laksa, satay and chicken rice. 

When my laksa arrived, I noticed that the noodles used are more similar to 'lai fun' than the typical bee hoon we use in Singapore. In addition, the cockles were overcooked. Tastewise, the soup base lacks the usual fragrance as there was not much of coconut and dried prawns flavor that is usually found in laksa. In addition, there was no hint of spiciness whatsoever. I suspect they use evaporated milk in the soup base too. 

The satay we ordered were severely undercooked. Both the pork and chicken skewers were raw in the middle! I was so disgusted I told the waiter about it, and he merely said ok, we will cancel it off the order. Huh?? How about replacing it instead? 

The chicken rice Fat Man ordered was terrible too. The rice used was of poor quality and were in bits instead of whole rice grains. The chicken was also tough as it was overcooked. We left the place upset and hungry due to the lousy crap offered here. Needless to say, we will never come back again.

今天下午和男朋友閒遊中上環之後, 在誤打誤撞之下找到這間食店, 當時我們見食物種類及價錢ok, 於是便入去試試吧! 我們點了一個二人晚餐($152), 當中包了兩個主菜, 兩杯飲品及甜品。主菜方面我們選了正宗叻沙及巴東牛肉飯--叻沙的味道很好, 濃濃的湯, 味道夠辣, 不過可惜份量偏小, 配料不多。至於巴東牛肉飯,牛肉看起來像咖喱牛腩,但老闆娘說醬汁是不辣的, 我們食過之後也覺得有驚喜, 其肉質很嫩很好吃呢。我們以為餐送的甜品會是糖水之類的東西, 誰知店員送上了一份咖央多士, 告訴我們是跟餐送的,初時我們以為是普通多士, 當咬了一口之後便發覺原來是很好吃呢, 多士烘得脆脆的而中間夾著一些甜甜的咖央醬及牛油, 味道很香口, 老闆娘跟我們說咖央醬是他們自己調配的, 所以味道獨特~ 飲品方面我們選了凍薏米水及凍青檸金桔蜜, 薏米水可以清熱氣, 味道ok, 至於青檸金桔蜜味道調得比較淡, 可以再濃一點便好了。店內環境像茶餐廳似的, 不是太舒適但也算ok吧。唯獨不好的是店員在水吧做燒烤串時會製造大量油煙,會燻到食客全身都是油煙味呢~

I got the Laksa supreme or whatever that comes with everything in it. My stomach wasn't feeling particularly well, so I'm going to have to say that maybe my dislike for the soup wasn't entirely the soup's fault. But I think it was partly to blame.

The things I didn't like: the broth had only a hint of spiciness. It tasted, I thought, just like milk. Not even a curry flavor. The chicken was tough and stringy. Really had no point being there. I came about an hour and a half after the lunch rush, so maybe it had just been simmering way too long? The fish cakes were rubbery. And I'm sure the shrimp in their shells with their heads on is authentic, but how does one eat that? The shells were very tough. I found the noodles slippery and flavorless.

The things I did like: the shrimp beneath the shells was fine, the cockles were bold and tender, and the fried tofu was the right mix of porous and firm. If only the broth it were sopping had more flavor.

Reading the reviews on balance, they seem to favor this over Malaymama. I'm of the exact opposite opinion, but as I said, I'm no expert. I will say that having read all the (English) reviews of both restaurants, everyone seems to agree that getting anything but the laksa at either of these places is not worth your time. So consider that if you're coming.

雞太肥 又冇肉 又冇起骨 只比背脊位 啲肉嘅邊出現灰色, 即係斬定 唔知放左幾耐, 好驚呀大佬!飯 又硬 又乾 又燶 有啲仲一塊塊咬唔開, 飯有"項"味啲醬嘅味道唔對路想撈吓飯都唔得新加坡海南雞飯 湯都冇跟班樓面勁hea好似唔想做咁, 咁唔好咁難為, 咪索性唔好做囉!!!

由中環走到上環就為了試試這叻沙的味道,點了特色叻沙,湯底有鮮味,稍辣!有大蝦2只,蝦很新鮮,咬落肉質爽口,但蝦腸又黑又多,吃得好麻煩.開邊蛋,普通無特別。鮮蚧彼新鮮,肉質甜美,可惜只有3小粒。魚片最好吃,有蝦味及十分彈牙,可惜只有几薄片。收費86蚊一碗不包飲品,稍貴!唯現埸因午飯時間煙霧泥漫,油煙味令人無法呼吸,一餐食下來頭髮衣服都是油煙味,其實上環有這麼多美食選擇,下次真的不太有動力入這店。

之前黎食過 Lasa 超正 ! 所以今次同同事再黎試他嘢 ~  座低想叫個 "肉骨茶" 但冇晒, 所以我叫左個 "巴東牛肉" 同 "咖吔多士" , 我同事叫左個 "咖哩雞"  個 "巴東牛肉" 一 放低, 一 D 香料味都冇已經心驚驚, 點知一食落去真係出事喇 ! D 肉質幾好但係 D 味重清過 "清湯腩", 重要 $58 個大洋 ! 之後個 "咖吔多士" 又係, 舊牛油得一少片, 醬又少到食唔出 "咖吔" 味 ! $18 個大洋 ! 重要 waiter 唔記得落單, 等左好耐 ~  我同事個 "咖哩雞" 同我個 "巴東牛肉" 一樣, 一 D 香料味都冇重要一舊薯仔都冇, 真係 "清湯雞" $ 56 個大洋 !  所以話黎呢度食嘢淨係食 Lasa 好喇, 唔好食其他嘢呀 !

因為老公說這裡的喇沙好食,又有我喜歡的蝦湯麵,於是來試試。點知,喇沙湯係幾好食,但這裡的蝦湯麵極難吃,從未食過咁難食的麵。服務亦很差,好似唔憂做咁。自問是一個鍾意食濃味食物的人,叫了一個正宗蝦湯麵,嗰湯底咸得好緊要,根本食唔落口。同侍應反映,話可否加些無咁咸的湯,他只冷淡地回應這裡只得兩款湯底,一是喇沙,一是蝦湯,然後就行開。跟住我老公幫我要了杯熱水,加了半杯水,仍然咸到死,食到這裡,我已經放棄,唸住剩係食餸,因為個油麵都唔好食。但可惜餸都唔好食,個啲肉鞋到死,明明話有蝦肉又唔見,只係有好多魚片,豆卜亦因為啲湯而唔好食。成 $6X 一碗麵,我食咗幾啖就擺咗係到,真係一次很差的經歷。

12月9日傍晚約6:30pm。行經上環,老婆突然想食叻沙麪。想起在報上蔡瀾曾經介紹該店。於是就近往孖沙街店。到店後感到非常奇怪,怎麼沒有一枱客。點了晚餐套餐及加通菜一碟(碗上)。套餐規定只可選一碗叻沙麪,另一份只可選;巴東牛肉飯或咖哩鷄飯。本來想要兩個都是麪,無法下另外一份選了咖哩雞。叻沙麪還可以接受。但咖哩鷄則有欺騙之嫌。看照片: 方兜內就是該未動的份量,两粒手指尾大雞件及一粒鷄翼尖,两粒薯仔,三粒红蘿蔔,連汁只及1/3兜。飯碗內就是那兩件鷄。問可能是老闆的老服務員份量是否少了點,及怎麼只有兩件鷄? 所得極不友善負氣回話: 冇鷄咩,有雞呀!確實,餐牌冇寫明份量嘅!只好認了。這樣做餐飲服務行業,未免太不像話!牆壁上掛了蔡瀾照片宣傳剪報,心想就算找全港演員來幫忙賣廣告都冇用咖!

相約好友到上環文娛中心看話劇前,到附近揾食,最後用餐於上環加東叻沙。一客肉骨茶套餐,含白飯油條。肉骨茶湯汁算香口地道,排骨亦算入味。只是得三件,略為不夠喉。油條感覺不夠新鮮,略帶乾硬感。淺嚐叻沙一口,椰香奶味重,甜辣交替突出,口味唔錯。多叫馬拉盞通菜,香口度不足,通菜亦硬身了少許。龍鳳檸樂鹹味不夠平衡,追加一份鹹檸味道更佳。最後一談服務,店員態度一般,服務有甩漏,有待改善。

Went for dinner with a friend at 730pm on a weekday so there was no queue. We ordered laksa and Bak Kut Teh plus one kaya toast. The laksa was good as always, just the right kind of spicy-ness and coconut milk for laksa noodle which I enjoyed. Bak Kut Teh was a little diluted and could be improved, but it was good value for money with the amount of pork ribs. To save you reading down, in summary its ok for a middling laksa, but the other food is horrible and service terrible, so we would never go back.

Ordered laksa, mee siam and har mien in order to try a range of things. The laksa soup was good flavour, but small frozen prawns used in it really detract, and noodles a bit hard. Prefer to have a mixture of vermicelli amd mee, my fault though, i should have asked.

Now for the other food : shockingly bad! Har mien had one half of a frozen prawn in it, soup the colour and taste of old washing up water. More pork than prawn. Only taste of meat, white pepper (which should not be in there). No prawn taste. If they call it dirty water pork mien, would more accurate. We hardly touch it, send it back. Inedible. Mee siam ok but not great, over sour, again the prawn issue. Worst of all, the waiter insist to charge us for an inedible bowl of dirty washing up water we had sent back and complained about so much, and no apology or any effort to compensate. Terrible service. I'm not price sensitive, just good food sensitive.

Drinks came late, after we were halfway through the food. All the glasses and bowls were messy, spilt, not the cleanest place to eat honestly, hygiene of concern.

My Malaysian food expert had tried the one in Elements last week, which was cleaner, better. And the laksa there used fresh, large prawns, brilliant. Go there. We guess they are focussing on the new elements store, maybe the chef move there too? In which case just shut this one down.

蝦麵質素係我食過最差o既,蝦"湯睇落深色,但一飲就淡而無味,係比一般的車仔面湯底更無味。o個二片蝦就好像一陣風咁落左個肚,食不知其味。唔講食物, 侍應態度惡劣. 我們被安排坐o係一個大電飯煲旁邊, 成餐飯我都可以感受到飯煲的熱氣, 而侍應唔停咁過黎裝飯又唔會講借借~ 走o個陣條走廊窄男友唔覺意撞到個侍應, 佢竟然聲大夾惡話男友打人, 仲追出黎想還手咁~ 以後點都唔會再黎呀!

早聽聞該店不錯,於是便來品嘗。但是很為失望,蝦面蝦味非常淡,並且服務員態度十分差勁。就像上面的朋友所說:希望這裏能更提高蝦麵的質素,放多D料去煮個湯;這樣才算是較正宗的蝦麵呢。希望服務業素質有所提高。吃飯是一件享受的事,不是看臉色的!。
