i have passed by this NMNL numerous times and the Sai Wan branch once. always wondered about it, so this time i went in to try. decided to order their 2nd most expensive item: Wagyu Cheese and Egg Burger w/Cajun Fries at $138 + 10 service charge. right from the start it wasn't a good experience. i had to go up to the cashier to order and pay up front....really? in a service restaurant?after i ordered the food, i asked where the bathroom was in hopes of washing my hands. it was quite a walking distance outside of the restaurant at the youth hostel next door. the food came without too long a wait. the first thing i noticed was the measly serving of fries, maybe 10-12 shoe strings dusted with "cajun seasoning. it didn't taste that good and i have had really good cajun fries at other places before. right when i got the burger, i asked the server where the bread came from. she said she would get back to me. i had the burger and it wasn't really that good either, didn't taste like "wagyu." without the sauce, it would just have been a tough, dry patty because when i bit into it, it felt that way. after i finished my meal, the server still didn't come back with an answer. so i got the server's attention to ask again. she went to the kitchen, came out and told me it was proprietary information and that i would have to write to the company via email if i wanted to know. i actually did that day and to date, over a month now, i have not yet received a reply. usually, when asked about food sourcing, restaurants, especially good ones would gladly inform you.summary: overly priced, poor service, no bathroom, underwhelming quality and quantity, poor company correspondence. with competition so high in hk, i seriously wonder how they are still in business.…查看更多
