Chef Ecy’s Dining Experience:🥰 Food | Ambience | Service | Easy Access | Easy Parking | Restroom Cleanliness🙂 Price 😠 Pet Friendly | Corkage Fee | Cake Cutting Fee | WheelchairFortnum's 181 Bar & Restaurant offers a seasonally changing menu for lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. The venue boasts spectacular skyline views, which are beautiful both day and night. We visited during Hong Kong Restaurant Week to try their "Winner's Edition" dinner menu, priced at HK$498 per person, and had a wonderful night celebrating a birthday with friends. The excellent ambience is enhanced by live piano music in the evenings. It is worth noting, however, that the lighting is quite dim - so much so that it was difficult to properly see the presentation of their Beef Wellington, which is flambéed tableside with dramatic flames. The dinner menu includes a starter, main course, dessert, and a glass of chilled Fortnum's sparkling tea. The selections were:· Starter (4 choices): Steak Tartare, Focaccia with Girolles, Chicken Liver Parfait with Fig Chutney, or Scottish Scallops.· Main Course (5 choices): Lamb Shoulder, Beef Short Rib, Gnocchi with Mushroom & Artichoke, Monkfish Tail, or Beef Wellington for two (with an additional charge of HK$188 per person).· Dessert (3 choices): Lemon Curd Serradura, Mango Panna Cotta, or Baked Alaska for two (with an additional charge of HK$88 per person).· A glass of house red or white wine could be added for an extra HK$88.We had a great time, and while the serving pace was somewhat slow, it allowed us more time to chat. The food presentation was generally good. In terms of taste, the Steak Tartare and Monkfish were the most outstanding dishes. The vegetarian gnocchi, however, was merely satisfactory. The Beef Short Rib had good taste and a tender texture, but was served lukewarm. The Lamb Shoulder was presented nicely, but the meat was a bit too soft and fell apart easily. We all enjoyed the Lemon Curd Serradura, which was quite large and satisfying.A few important notes for those planning a visit:· The restaurant does not provide birthday candles but will write a birthday message on your dessert plate. You must bring your own candles if required.· Corkage fees for wine and cake-cutting fees for desserts apply if you bring your own.· The restrooms are clean, but there is only one within the restaurant and another located downstairs in the shop.Location & Access:The restaurant is located in K11 Musea. It is easily accessible by bus or MTR; alight at Tsim Sha Tsui / East Tsim Sha Tsui Station and take a 2-minute walk from Exit J. While the shop is at ground level, the restaurant itself is on the second floor and requires climbing a staircase, making it inconvenient for wheelchair users.Overall, Fortnum's 181 is an excellent choice for fine dining or afternoon tea, offering a lovely sea view and a sophisticated atmosphere.…查看更多
