went to the restaurant for lunch.  we were guided in by the hostess and given 2 menus.  when we were ready to order, i raised my hand to signal to the workers at the host station/bar area.  there were a bunch of staff members standing idly about.  they saw my hand, so i thought they would come.  after waiting for a bit, when they still didn't come, i signalled to a server working closer to us and she took our order.  later on, i noticed another couple asking whether they should order themselves and the staff responded positively. i ordered the shrimp paste fried rice, while my friend ordered the pork jowl with rice.  our drinks came quickly and her food came relatively close behind.  i had to wait a long while for my food.  when my food came, i noticed my rice was cold on the top, but still warm inside.  that indicated to me that my food was left out for a while before it reached me.  i was too hungry, so i didn't say anything.  then when i ate the 3 shrimps on my rice, i noticed they weren't deveined.  so i had to do it myself.  these lunch sets (meal+hot drink) cost $88 each.  at that price, i would think the shrimps to be deveined.when it was time to pay, we had to bring the check to the cashier.   this and "self order using qr code" is fine, except the restaurant has a 10% service charge.  so we are supposed to pay for partial and bad service? not 10 minutes after we walked out of the restaurant, my mouth was filled with the flavor of msg.  it was really nasty and didn't go away even when i drank lots of water.summary: 10% service charge on top of the not so cheap meal.  poor service, hostess didn't tell us we were supposed to scan qr code to order, my food sat for a while before it reached me.  shrimp not deveined, lots of msg used, we had to bring our check to the cashier to pay.that's why so many people rather go to shenzhen to spend their money: much better service and food.…查看更多

Spacious resto with pretty decor.Staff were generally quite absent-minded and provided poor service. Eg.1 we asked for 2 bowls but gave us 1 only. Eg. 2 we asked if we could take an extra chair for placing our bags, the waiter just said, “no” and wanted to walk away. If it wasn’t us asking if there was any basket, he would just leave us there.Yet, have to say a waitress was nice enough to keep filling our glasses with water.For food quality, fair to say pad thai and thai milk tea in rose flavour were good. But the fried morning glory was way too salty and the rice paper rolls with avocado mango and soft crab meat was horrible; avocado - no show, mango, super tiny piece that there was slight flavour of it only, soft crab meat - not crispy at all, felt like prepared for quite a while before being served.Worst part is, my friend and I had diarrhoea when home. I’m so disappointed and angry that I didn’t get what I paid for. I eat lunch, I just want to feel full and satisfied. The money I pay should match the experience and food I get, right? I ordered a pork chop noodle dish, but no matter how you look at it, the pork chop was barely a piece! Is there some kind of misunderstanding?
