I have had a few takeaways from this BBQ place before, in general my impression of the food quality has been ratherun-exciting. The roast goose was on the fatty side of the spectrum. The roast chicken and duck were both average. This time I chose to takeaway half a soy chicken and a full portion of their signature honey roast char siu. Chicken was tender and succulent, even the breast meat wasn't too woody and the ginger sauce impacted a strong flavour - on the pleasant side of strong. The char siu, on the other hand, was far too dry and dense in texture, perhaps it was done the "traditional way" without resorting to Iberica black pig or some other exotic ingredients. I still find it hard to chew so I diced it and cooked with carrots and greens to be a topping for a noodle dish. This way it softened somewhat and was more palatable.
