Chef Ecy’s Dining Experience🥰 Food | Easy Parking | Easy Access | Price 🙂 Service 😠 Pet Friendly | Restroom Cleanliness | Wheelchair Friendly | Corkage Fee | Cake Cutting Fee | AmbienceThis small shop is a famous spot in Sheung Wan, with a few other branches across Hong Kong. The Sheung Wan branch on Wing Lok Street is at street level, but has a few steps at the entrance, so wheelchair access may be difficult. The shop is cozy with only a few tables, the ambience is simple, and there's no restroom. They also only accept cash, so come prepared. It opens from 11:30am to 8pm everyday except for weekends & public holiday, they open at 12pm.The menu is extensive and includes set meals. For sets over HK$60, you get free-flow, cold, fresh soy milk! I had to order their signature pan-fried pork buns (生煎包), so I chose the hot and sour soup with wonton set (大酸辣汤云吞) for HK$64. It came with one bun and the free-flow soy milk. The soup portion was huge, filled with six small wontons. It was served piping hot and the flavor was excellent - not too sour and not too spicy. The ingredients were generous, especially the large slices of mushroom, and the wontons were very tasty. Despite its appearance, it was more than enough food. The pork bun looked beautiful with sesame seeds on top and a crispy, golden-brown bottom. It didn't look greasy at all. I took a small bite and - wow! It was extremely hot inside, and juicy broth burst out everywhere! I was so embarrassed, but it was a testament to how juicy the bun was. The flavor was perfectly balanced. Absolutely delicious! The food quality is truly great. I saw other customers eating noodles and deep-fried pork chops, which also looked yummy. I'll have to try them next time!Be aware that the entire shop is served by just one lady outside who handles the cashier and waiter duties, so service can be a bit slow. Patience is required.Despite that, the price-to-performance ratio is excellent. It's easily accessible via the MTR - just get off at Sheung Wan Station and take a 3-minute walk from Exit A2. If you drive, there is metered parking on nearby streets.I will definitely be back to try the noodles and pork chop!…查看更多
