Almost the worst Japanese food I have ever had. The beef in Tariyaki is hard to chew and swallow. The soup in the Tariyaki is not Tariyaki soup at all. The roasted gras and scallop was cold when served, makes me feel pity for the goose. The flavor is a waste of food. Regret for coming, not recommended, at all.
A pretty good standby option for inhabitants of K-town who feel like having Japanese but did not plan ahead, do not want to bother going out of the area or pay more than a couple of hundred bucks a person. The place is clean, bright and friendly, but never seems to be so busy that you can't find a seat without a reservation during peak dinner hours. I think the reason might be that many of the dishes just seem slightly off, and there is nothing particularly good to inspire customer loyalty. The motto here seems to be "meh, good enough," which is ok, I suppose. Example: I ordered a bowl of seafood ramen, and while all the ingredients are there, the seafood is numerous enough and the noodles not too soggy, the soup is just too watery, making the whole dish...not exactly a disappointment, but certainly not a resounding success to keep me rushing back here again and again. The foie gras on toast is not particularly buttery and the toast is merely warmed up rather than toasted. 10 out of 10 for availability and convenience. And yet, a pretty solid option for cheap neighborhood Japanese dinners. …
